WSTS Forecasts Global Semiconductor Market to Exceed $700B in 2025, Continue Growth in 2026
WSTS spring forecast projects 11.2% growth to $700.9B in 2025, reaching $760.7B in 2026.
The World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) raised its global semiconductor market forecast to $700.9 billion in its spring 2025 projection, corresponding to 11.2% annual growth. The market is expected to reach $760.7 billion in 2026, up 8.5% year-over-year.
Growth Still Led by Logic and Memory
Logic and memory products continue to benefit from AI servers, data centers, and high-end computing platforms. Analog devices, sensors, and microcontrollers see more moderate growth, but gradual inventory recovery in automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics provides a more stable demand base for these categories.
Regional and Application Market Pace Varies
The pace of recovery differs across regions and end markets. Suppliers targeting long-lifecycle industrial and automotive projects need to monitor demand recovery, wafer capacity allocation, packaging and testing resources, and regulatory requirements.
For R&D teams, forecast data is best used as background for procurement and product planning, not as a substitute for specific part number lead time, lifecycle, and technical fit assessments.
