Global Semiconductor Sales Reach $791.7 Billion in 2025, Logic and Memory Lead Growth

Annual data released by the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) shows that global semiconductor sales reached $791.7 billion in 2025, a 25.6% increase year-on-year. This result reflects that demand from data centers, AI infrastructure, and high-performance computing remains the most important growth engine for the industry.
Logic and Memory Contribute Major Growth
By product category, logic product sales reached $301.9 billion, up 39.9% year-on-year; memory product sales reached $223.1 billion, up 34.8% year-on-year. Both categories benefited from higher compute density, advanced packaging, and memory capacity upgrades.
Demand Structure Continues to Evolve Toward High Performance and High Reliability
AI is not the only driver. Industrial digitalization, IoT, automotive electronics, communication infrastructure, and early R&D for 6G also require more semiconductor devices with real-time control, connectivity, and data processing capabilities.
For chip selectors, market expansion does not mean supply lead times and product lifecycles can be ignored. Establishing alternative models, complete technical documentation, and long-term support strategies remains key to reducing project risk.
